My name is Clint Dalziel and I’m 30 years old from Cochrane, Alberta. Sports have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up playing hockey, soccer, baseball and competing for the Calgary snowboard team in halfpipe. I even had the opportunity to play ACHA Div II hockey for Montana Tech while pursuing my degree in Petroleum Engineering. After graduating, I felt like I had lost the connection that competitive sports provided in pushing me to be better. Missing that competitive part in my life, I started training for Ironman distance triathlons. I completed my first Ironman 70.3 July 2016 in Calgary and it completely opened my eyes to how challenging this sport can be! My 2017 rookie season showed me that I am mentally and physically capable of pushing myself to compete with triathletes who have been racing for years. When I’m not training, I enjoy being outdoors with my friends and pretending I’m a five-star chef with my girlfriend in the kitchen.
