Daniel is a professional triathlete from Toronto, Canada. Daniel grew up playing hockey, and did not get started in swimming, cycling, or running until 2012. He did not have an illustrious start to his triathlon career, finishing 3rd last overall at the 2012 Toronto Triathlon Festival in 3:46. But from that time Daniel has focused on getting a little bit fitter, and a little bit faster everyday. Daniel won the M25-29 age group at 2015 Ironman Canada and 2016 Ironman Maryland before taking his pro card in 2017.
In his Rookie Pro season Daniel finished 7th at Ironman Lake Placid, set an Ironman PB of 8:49 at Ironman Louisville, and won the MultiSport Canada Elite Series. In 2018 Daniel won the Kingston Long Course Triathlon, and the Montreal Demi Esprit Half.
In 2019 Daniel has set his sights on the independent race scene. Daniel is planning on racing as many independent (non-Ironman brand) races as possible to get back to the grassroots of racing.
