I am an 18 year old Canadian Junior Elite triathlete. I live and train in a very cold Regina, Saskatchewan with my fellow teammates of Triathlon Saskatchewan.
Prior to starting triathlon I used to be a competitive speed swimmer. I left the sport of swimming in 2014 and in order to keep active I took up running. I completed my first ever half marathon at the age of 14 (2015 Queen City Marathon) with my dad. I started training for triathlons in September of 2016 when I decided that I wanted to make a return to organized sports after I quit competitive swimming. I thought that it would be a good fit as I already knew how to swim, enjoyed running and could ride a bike. I joined the Regina Multisport Club and have not looked back. I became competitive very quickly as I knew recreational sports are not for me.
In the summer of 2017 I started racing Junior Elite Draft Legal races which resulted in a selection to represent Team Sask at the 2017 Canada Summer Games. I placed 12th in the individual race against some of the best juniors in the country during my first ever season as a triathlete.
Ever since 2017 I have completed two more seasons as a Junior Elite with consistent improvements. In 2019 I made the podium in a couple of the Canadian Junior Elite Races and raced a few CAMTRI Continental Cups across Canada.
In 2019 I was also privileged to be selected to go to Monterrey, Mexico to represent Canada at the 2019 Pan American Junior Championships. Later in the season I made the A final at the Canadian National Championships in Kelowna and placed in the top 15 in the Junior Category.
My favourite F2C Product is the Hydra-Durance, #teamrasberry. Hydra-Durance is something I use during every workout, camp, pre, during and post competition. Hydra-Durance helps me replenish my electrolytes and has a mild flavour that always keeps me coming back for more.
