Sam entered his first Ironman 140.6 in 2015 and competed in the Ironman World Championship that next season. At the end of the 2016 season he stood as a 12-time finisher of Ironman 70.3 and 140.6 distances. Put simply, Sam loves to test limits.
Sam has a contact sport background competing in various sports in high school and playing American football throughout college. In 2013, Sam entered the sport of Triathlon competing in sprint-distance races in the local Utah/Nevada circuit. He raced his first 70.3 race in 2014 (Utah, USA) and has achieved several short- and long-course podium finishes.
As a business professional and father of five, Sam values success in multiple areas of life and seeks above all to gain valuable experience in Ironman that he can transfer to those closest to him.
Sam credits a focus on nutrition, strong family support, solid coaching, and the hand of Almighty God in his past successes. He looks forward to working with the best in the business, F2C Nutrition, to continue to push boundaries in 2017 and beyond.
